Voila!

12 things for my self - #4
I was trying to do a self portrait, so I could show this scarf I made for my self (I simply can't understand how to do the fancy »from above« shots) - when little S entered with a rose he'd »rescued« for me. He seldom picks or find anything - he rescues! - So this sweet little guy sees my troubles and politely offers to help. And he really did, thoroughly!
I had to stop him, when he - roaring with laughter - was »shooting« at the ceiling. You know Calvin & Hobbes? - Well, he looked exactly like Calvin with that huge audacious grin!
The scarf is ultra simple. I was inspired by a (quite expensive) scarf made by a well known clothing company. I had some gauze lying around, which I probably bought years and years ago for nuno felting. Dyed it with a strong solution of Stockmar watercolor (yup, I dye silk and wool as well as cotton with watercolors). Folded the edges twice, and stiched it with coke gray embroidery thread. Sewed on a few tassels made with some silk yarn from my stash (originally used for a baby blanket for A). Voila!

Hvilket fint og let tørklæde.

ReplyDeleteHej Mona.
ReplyDeleteDet er et meget smukt tørklæde!
Hvordan farver du med Stockmar akvarelfarver?
Kh. Trine
Hej Mona.
Tak for hjælpen!
Kh. Trinelailahansen@hotmail.com
