Linen, kittens & a walk in the woods

I was given some handspun linen yarn, a gift from Bodil. She teaches in the medieval art of nalbinding (nålebinding), and she made these pretty covers for glass jars from the linen yarn - in nalbinding!

This necklace is made using that linen yarn and a crochet hook, adorned with a few amber pearls and pieced together with some eco dyed silk scraps. The soft and light kind of jewellery that I've realised is much more my style than gold and silver ...

The tiny mushrooms looks like jewellery too, wish I could wear them as well ...

  1. I love the crochet necklace. Beautiful silk ribbon to accompany it too.
    Thank you for sharing!

  2. So lovely. looks so beautiful on you. The tiny mushrooms are so exquisite. The kittens..oh, adorable and cuddly.
    Love to you, E.

  3. How tactile and lovely to look at is your linen crochet necklace with silk. I agree, it is my type of jewellery too! Your photos are gorgeous.

  4. Kan godt se det klæder dig- det er et unikt smykke.

  5. So many lovely photos! The necklace is beautiful, soft, gracious. This post is a feast for the eyes, and I want to pet those kittens.

  6. Hi, just found your blog - it's lovely, beautiful photos : )
